Enterprise Florida provides a wide array of programs
and services to Florida manufacturers, export
intermediaries, and professional service providers.
These programs can help Florida companies enter
or expand into the international marketplace.
Export Counseling
Professional trade counselors around the state provide free
export counseling, including evaluating a company’s market
readiness, selecting target markets for its products or services,
market research, information on channels of distribution in tar-
get markets, and introductions to international trade specialists.
Educational Events
Educational workshops, seminars, and conferences on export
fundamentals are available in various locales throughout the
state on topics such as researching markets, developing an
export strategy, learning about logistics, promotional opportu-
nities, and more.
Overseas Trade Missions & Shows
Participation in overseas trade missions and trade shows
provides opportunities for Florida companies to showcase
their products and services and meet one-on-one with
potential customers worldwide.
International Trade Events Newsletter
Sign up for a bi-weekly newsletter to receive the latest infor-
mation on international trade events happening around the state
and abroad. Learn about everything from local educational work-
shops and seminars to overseas trade shows and trade missions.
Florida Export Directory
Exporters can increase their international market exposure
through a searchable, web-based directory that Enterprise
Florida promotes worldwide. “Connecting Global Buyers to
Florida Suppliers,” the Florida Export Directory is an easy
way to promote products and services all over the world.
Export Marketing Plans
Export Marketing Plans help qualified Florida manufac-
turers and service providers pinpoint the best countries for
their products, develop the right entry strategies, and promote
their products abroad. Plans are created in partnership with
a network of Florida Small Business Development Centers
around the state.
Target Sector Trade Grants
Target Sector Trade Grants are offered to qualified Florida
companies to help support their entry into global markets
by subsidizing 50 percent of the cost of a trade show booth.
These event-specific grants are provided on a reimbursable
basis to companies in Enterprise Florida’s target sectors.
Gold Key/Matchmaker Grants
Eligible small- and medium-sized companies can apply for
a Gold Key/Matchmaker grant to generate or increase sales
overseas.The grant serves as a market development program
for companies that are new or infrequent exporters by provid-
ing them with an opportunity to meet with pre-screened and
pre-qualified buyers, agents and representatives.
World Bank
Enterprise Florida serves as a Private Sector Liaison Officer
(PSLO) for the World Bank.With the knowledge of World
Bank funding and procurement opportunities, Florida’s
PSLO helps Florida businesses gain access to the billions
of dollars in annual World Bank contracts.
Export Finance
In collaboration with its trade partners, Enterprise Florida
can guide small- and medium-sized companies to state
and federal resources that can help finance export transactions,
such as the Florida Export Finance Corporation, EXIM
Bank, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Network of International Offices
Florida has full-service representatives in Brazil, Canada,
(Montreal &Toronto), China (Hong Kong & Shanghai),
France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Mexico, South Africa, Spain,
and the United Kingdom.The offices assist Florida companies
that want to sell Florida-origin products and services.
